How I Work

I work with homeowners who value clear communication, thoughtful planning, and high-quality execution. My process is structured to bring clarity, reduce uncertainty, and keep projects moving from first inquiry through completion.

Project Steps

  • All projects start with the online Begin Project Booking intake form. This provides a brief overview of the work and schedules a consultation call.

This is the way to contact me about a new project.

  • A short call confirms fit, clarifies priorities, and determines the appropriate next step. These calls are free, and I reach out personally.

Not every project is a fit, and that selectivity keeps projects running smoothly.

  • Depending on scope and complexity, projects move forward in one of two ways:

    Service Visit
For clearly defined work that can be scoped through photos, measurements, and a brief call. These projects are typically completed in one day or less and do not require a paid proposal.

    Detailed Estimate & Project Proposal
For larger or more complex projects, a paid proposal is required. This includes scope definition, sequencing, and realistic budgeting.

For qualifying projects, an on-site evaluation may be included as part of proposal development.

  • Once scope and pricing are approved, work is scheduled and completed with an emphasis on craftsmanship, communication, and respect for the home. Active projects are intentionally limited to maintain quality.

What You Can Expect

  • Clear scope and realistic pricing

  • Direct, straightforward communication

  • Careful, detail-oriented work

When it fits best:

Build Lab Studio fits best with homeowners who are ready to move forward with clarity.

  • Projects past the idea stage and ready to be defined

  • Clients who value quality and clear expectations over price alone

If there’s uncertainty, the intake process helps determine the right next step.
